Inner Power explores the acceptance of the shadow, instinct and inner strength. The image holds a tension between beauty and primordial wildness. Rather than presenting strength as something to win from outside, the work invites an encounter with one’s own nature, including its vulnerability and darkness. Texture, colour and stillness create space for this inward dialogue.

Self-Control holds a point of balance through form, stillness and strength. The figure gathers the composition into a concentrated presence, leaving little sense of excess or outward performance. Although its appearance may suggest something demonic, the artist describes its purpose as calm in the face of difficulty. The work centres on an inner composure that has nothing to prove.

In Enigma, a face in profile emerges beside a cluster of rounded forms against an ochre field. The work approaches painting as a field of perception. Its form hovers at the edge of disappearance, inviting the viewer to remain with rhythm, stillness and the experience of looking. The work suspends the need to decipher an image or resolve a story. Its presence lies in that pause, where recognition can occur without explanation.

One Step Before the Break holds a figure at the moment when an outward role no longer contains her inner life. Braided, dressed and named by others, she remains still while something within has already changed. The painting concentrates on this quiet refusal: a will and structure of her own that no longer depend on the expectations surrounding her. The break is approached as a restoration of balance.
