ALTERITAS is a series dedicated to exploring otherness as both an aesthetic and human phenomenon.
Working with mixed media, Austrian artist Alexandra Ros creates images where forms that fall outside the familiar are not rejected — but received.
Each work in the series is not a provocation or a statement.
It is an invitation to see the unfamiliar as possible.
These figures do not try to appear — but neither do they hide.
This is otherness that no longer needs to explain itself.
Figure, structure, color, surface — everything works to show:
that which exists beyond the familiar can carry depth, tension, and beauty.
